Good morning and happy last day of school!  I cannot believe it is already the last day of school already. This year has gone by so fast! Although the last couple of months have been tough for a number of reasons, I am so grateful to have ways in which we were all able to stay connected. We miss everyone, SO much! It was so good to see all of you who were able to make it to the Pickup Parade yesterday, so many of you have grown so much!  Typically on one of our last days of school we have a water day, one of the most fun days of the year! The Ambrose teachers put together a video of how we spent our time playing in the water. How do you play in the water? I cannot wait to see you all during our last class ZOOM call of the year! Grab some blankets and pillows and create a fort! See you all so soon!

Good morning and happy Wednesday!  Today we are celebrating the last week of school with a bubble party! Whether you make your own or have some at your house- join in on the bubble fun.  Don't forget- today is the Pickup Parade at 3pm ! 

It's Tuesday and that means ice cream day! Although we can't all be together to enjoy a frozen treat, watch as the Pine teachers share ice cream with one another from home 😊 Grab a bowl, a spoon, and a scoop of your favorite ice cream!

Hello & good morning!  I can't wait to see you all at our class ZOOM this afternoon 😊 To start off our day today, Ms. Kim is going to read There's a Monster in Your Book!  After reading along with Ms. Kim, try and make your own monster! Using all different kinds of skills, try out this fun activity to create your own monster at home.  What You Will Need:  Watered down paint, food colouring or liquid water colours A container for each colour of paint A spoon for each colour of paint Large sheets of paper Straws – one for each child Permanent markers What to Do:  Start by drawing a few monster features (or other creature, or even people) in the middle of the page with the permanent markers. You need to use permanent markers as water based markers will run when the paint is added, so explain to the kids how to use them carefully and cover your work surface. Good morning, everyone!  I don't know about all of you, but this cloudy weather is really making me feel quite tired and a little stir crazy. As much as I love a good thunderstorm or some rain, I also really love being able to be outside in the sunshine. Unfortunately, I don't think that's in the forecast this week. However, Ms. Margie and Toffee found a way to beat these rainy day blues!  This activity is so easy to create just from some materials you may have at home! Ms. Margie was able to use some extra salt she had in her cabinet, but you could use a number of different things to draw in. You could try sand, shaving cream, or even dry rice!  I wonder what letters you can make? Can you try and spell your name? What about drawing a picture?!  If you want to use rice, and have a lot of it to spare, you can even dye the rice! Good morning!  Last week, I had a conversation with a friend from the PM class about learning something new. Over the past couple of weeks he has been telling a few of the Pine teachers about Minecraft and all the different characters, locations, and activities you can do while playing the game. It was so enlightening to hear him talk about something he was really interested in and took the time to teach us something! While staying home, I have found myself wanting to learn something new too, but little did I know I didn't need to look to far!
