Happy Monday

Welcome to week #6! We have some new words of the week we will be practicing: I WANT. These words help your child advocate for things that they want. These words really come in handy when a friend has something that we want to play with, when we want to eat/drink, when we want something that is not currently available, etc. We will practice how to appropriately/kindly ask for things that we want (we have a visual tap/look/ask we will refer to) both directly through reading books, role playing, etc. and indirectly through modeling during play times.

Our friend Thomas made a night bird and it only comes out on the darkest, darkest nights!

We are taking some time to practice our new school tool scissors! Then we are discovering how we can arrange the paper scraps to make beautiful artwork

Friends practicing how to help animals by pretending to be a Veterinarian

What do you think bugs WANT to do in the small world?

We enjoy retelling our story One Duck Stuck. We also talked about what we "WANT" to make with blocks.

Outside we found a big toad!

Exploring some new materials to end our day today

Week 2 Day 2

Pine Family is rocking and rolling in week 2! We are having less feelings of sad, mad, and scared upon entering class and more happy and fun throughout the day!  Friendly reminders: Water bottles should only come to school filled with water (it's the best for our bodies and in case another student would accidently take a sip it won't cause harm), sunscreen should be applied before drop off (there is not a lot of shade and not a lot of time for us to get the kiddos all lathered up), and bug spray should be applied before drop off (this is mostly needed when we start going to the forest on Tuesdays, starting on Sept 12th). Thanks :)

It was a Ms Amy day!

Ms Amy Wednesday

Ms Amy always has fun practicing speech and language! Our friends had lots of opportunities for different kinds of movement.
