Happy Beautiful Wednesday! We went with the flow today while our friend Ms. Kari was out and had fun with a new friend Ms. Tracy. She worked on our good question word WHAT? While we explored the outdoors in the sand, a few friends made a discovery! One friend spied something as they were digging and exclaimed, "It's a dragon egg!" The 3 friends worked together to dig around it until they could get it out. During their efforts, one of the friends said they thought that the dragon came here at night to lay eggs in the sand. The other friends were very excited to see if they could find more. Not too long after that it was announced, "There is another dragon egg!" and they worked to dig that one out as well. Our digging was interrupted for a severe weather drill where we had to quickly go inside to our safe space in the school. Our friends did so well! I wonder if our friends will want to continue exploring dragons outside and/or inside?!
Pine Family is rocking and rolling in week 2! We are having less feelings of sad, mad, and scared upon entering class and more happy and fun throughout the day! Friendly reminders: Water bottles should only come to school filled with water (it's the best for our bodies and in case another student would accidently take a sip it won't cause harm), sunscreen should be applied before drop off (there is not a lot of shade and not a lot of time for us to get the kiddos all lathered up), and bug spray should be applied before drop off (this is mostly needed when we start going to the forest on Tuesdays, starting on Sept 12th). Thanks :)
