Now for the Babies!

As we continue our journey of taking care of others in the Pine class, the boys took some time after snack to make sure our babydolls got some food too! Taking care of others is such an important skill we learn as we grow through life and can be taught at a young age. By engaging in pretend play by feeding, rocking, and playing with these babies, the boys are learning to take care of someone other than themselves. It is developmentally appropriate to be concerned with oneself, but we can begin to teach simple caretaking skills through this with babydolls. Since so many of our families have new babies in the home, we thought this would be a perfect way to have the boys become little helpers.

Have a great rest of your day and see you all tomorrow!

Week 2 Day 2

Pine Family is rocking and rolling in week 2! We are having less feelings of sad, mad, and scared upon entering class and more happy and fun throughout the day!  Friendly reminders: Water bottles should only come to school filled with water (it's the best for our bodies and in case another student would accidently take a sip it won't cause harm), sunscreen should be applied before drop off (there is not a lot of shade and not a lot of time for us to get the kiddos all lathered up), and bug spray should be applied before drop off (this is mostly needed when we start going to the forest on Tuesdays, starting on Sept 12th). Thanks :)

Happy First Day of School 24-25!

Welcome Pine Families to our 24-25 school year! We were so happy to have your kiddos with us today. Check out the fun we had :)

Day 2 Pine room fun!

Today we spent more time getting to know each other and exploring our spaces. For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.
