Parachute

We had such a fun Tuesday morning! Today was the first day that all three boys really engaged and participated fully during our meeting time with Julie. These days are usually filled with a lot of movement, music, and high energy. Today was no different! We introduced the mini parachute to the boys. We first began by just practicing holding onto the parachute and moving it up and down. Giggles filled the room as it was creating a sort of windy effect. As the boys became more familiar with lifting it high and then down low, we paired some favorite songs to keep them up and moving.

Unfortunately I do not have a video of such sweet playing. With three busy boys it's all hands on deck when playing new or unfamiliar games. Each boy took a turn going under the parachute and allowing the movement of the fabric put them into a calming trance. The game lasted about 10 or so minutes and the boys continued to stay engaged as songs changed and demands increased. It was so refreshing to hear laughs and giggles as well as seeing eyes crinkle when smiles emerged from under their masks. Another successful day!

We tried recreating the magic in the gym, but the parachute just couldn't compete with the other activities around the room. Here is just a short clip of L enjoying himself within the parachute. Have a great afternoon and see you tomorrow!

It was a Ms Amy day!

Happy Wednesday

How lucky are we that it was nice weather which allowed for much needed outside time!

Happy New Year!

Hello Pine AM friends! It is so nice to see you guys again after 20 days! I hope everyone enjoyed the time off and maybe even a little fun in the snow. Today we only had 2 kiddos come to school which felt so strange but we made the best of it. We will be ready to fully jump back in the swing of things next week with new words IN and OUT, exploring our expanded Bakery and Cafe in our dramatic play area, reading stories about winter and hands on experiences with things that are cold.
