Makin' Playdoh

We started our shorter week off this week with some playdoh making! In light of Election Day tomorrow, we first took a vote on what color to make the playdoh. It all came down to one single vote from A to decide yellow or red. The whole table sat with anticipation as A held his picture in his hand to lay it on one of the papers in front of him. What would he choose?!

A looked at both colors, looked at his picture, and chose red!

The decision was made and now it was time to get down to business. Although the playdoh making process wasn't for everyone, L, B, and N stuck around to pour all of the different ingredients into the big red bowl. Each one followed directions so nicely! They each waited their turn, watched their friends pour ingredients in, and get excited when it was their turn to participate. Such a fun way to start off our Monday!

I also want to welcome back J! We are so excited for him to be back with the other boys in our class. Big things are going to happen this year, I can feel it!

Week 2 Day 2

Pine Family is rocking and rolling in week 2! We are having less feelings of sad, mad, and scared upon entering class and more happy and fun throughout the day!  Friendly reminders: Water bottles should only come to school filled with water (it's the best for our bodies and in case another student would accidently take a sip it won't cause harm), sunscreen should be applied before drop off (there is not a lot of shade and not a lot of time for us to get the kiddos all lathered up), and bug spray should be applied before drop off (this is mostly needed when we start going to the forest on Tuesdays, starting on Sept 12th). Thanks :)

Happy First Day of School 24-25!

Welcome Pine Families to our 24-25 school year! We were so happy to have your kiddos with us today. Check out the fun we had :)

Day 2 Pine room fun!

Today we spent more time getting to know each other and exploring our spaces. For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.
