Leaves Part 2!

Although yesterday was not the day we anticipated, the boys were really on their game today! Our meeting with Ms. Julie was filled with lots of movement, music, and connection with one another. The boys really showed their abilities to follow along and participate- way to go!

We spent most of the morning out in garden area. Since the boys have been so interested in watching the leaves fall and have even tried to recreate the experience in our room we were able to capitalize on all of the dried leaves that were on the ground!

B picked up a rake and got right to work. He made great effort in trying to pile them up to then gather them in his arms and toss them in the air! L immediately noticed and headed over to help B out.

The two boys laughed and watched the leaves fall around them. They rolled around, picked up them, and attempted to toss them into the air by themselves.

It's great that we are able to make so many different connections inside and outside of the classroom. The boys have really shown growth in their play schemes and interests over the last few weeks as they are exposed to different materials, spaces, and friends.
Happy Fall!

Week 2 Day 2

Pine Family is rocking and rolling in week 2! We are having less feelings of sad, mad, and scared upon entering class and more happy and fun throughout the day!  Friendly reminders: Water bottles should only come to school filled with water (it's the best for our bodies and in case another student would accidently take a sip it won't cause harm), sunscreen should be applied before drop off (there is not a lot of shade and not a lot of time for us to get the kiddos all lathered up), and bug spray should be applied before drop off (this is mostly needed when we start going to the forest on Tuesdays, starting on Sept 12th). Thanks :)

Monday 2/12

Happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Not sure who is a football fan, but YAY CHIEFS!!!!! Let's celebrate this week by wearing Red for the Chiefs big Super Bowl win as well as red (or pink) for Valentine's Day!  Wednesday we are hosting a family pop in to help celebrate Valentine's day in our own Ambrose way. We will be talking all things love and friendship this week and would love to make a friendship mix as a special snack. (Here is the link if you want to donate https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KZGO1UibmZqK9XuNgXpwnY12fq-ZFwgQF6oC37FjaqE/edit?usp=sharing )  We will not be doing store bought Valentine card exchange, but will allow friends to make their own special cards/artwork to give to friends this week!

so close now....

Can you believe that we only have one more day together this school year? Today we celebrated the second to last day with a summer bday celebration. We also revealed our tie dyed shirts! (we only did a light rinse, beware that colors will run when you wash!!) TOMORROW: WATER DAY! You need to wear your suit, water friendly shoes, sunscreen already applied, water bottle, towel and dry clothes to change into!
