What Goes Up...

We started the week off with a brand new activity for the boys. Because we are focusing on the words in, out, eat, and open the boys had the opportunity to use the wind tunnel! The wind tunnel is always a big hit when it gets pulled out and today was no exception.

N and L were using all kinds of different paper and materials to put through the tunnel. They tried using a mesh material, cellophane, regular paper, and tissue paper! N was quite interested in seeing if different materials from the around the room would fly out of the tube. He was most successful with the different papers.

N did have one idea that provided for some good entertainment for a little bit. He wadded up all of the mesh material together to form a big ball. N then proceeded to put the ball of mesh near the high speed fan.

Both boys watched as the ball slowly made its way through the tube. It crawled slowly up and up as the boys watched in anticipation for it to fly out.

After giving the tunnel a few shakes, the material began making its way out! Both boys began clapping as it floated out and opened up.

Yay! It finally came out! The whole room erupted in cheers as we all watched it gently float to the ground. The fun didn't stop there. N continued to find different heavier objects to try in the tunnel. There was little success, but we will try again tomorrow!
Stay tuned...

It was a Ms Amy day!

Happy Wednesday

How lucky are we that it was nice weather which allowed for much needed outside time!

Happy New Year!

Hello Pine AM friends! It is so nice to see you guys again after 20 days! I hope everyone enjoyed the time off and maybe even a little fun in the snow. Today we only had 2 kiddos come to school which felt so strange but we made the best of it. We will be ready to fully jump back in the swing of things next week with new words IN and OUT, exploring our expanded Bakery and Cafe in our dramatic play area, reading stories about winter and hands on experiences with things that are cold.
