Spring Cleaning

Is anyone else able to enjoy some of this warm spring weather?! I am trying my best to do so! One thing I have also taken the opportunity to do is clean! Spring cleaning is happening over at my house and it's been quite therapeutic to really take the time to rearrange, clean, and bring some fresh air into all of the rooms.

Now that we are all at home, what a great opportunity it might be to take on a new project and clean up just one space at home. Everyone can help too! Young children often respond well to being a helper and often want to help an adult around the house. Providing a 'job' for your child can give them a sense of pride and belonging.

In the video below, Ms. Julie shows you how cleaning can provide children with purposeful heavy work that may help with burning off some energy as well as giving kids some responsibility.

I hope you all have a great Monday! As we head into the new week, remember to look for celebrations (the smallest of ones too!) and really celebrate them. Bring some joy into the parts of the day that may seem less joyful.

Miss you all so much!

Week 2 Day 2

Pine Family is rocking and rolling in week 2! We are having less feelings of sad, mad, and scared upon entering class and more happy and fun throughout the day!  Friendly reminders: Water bottles should only come to school filled with water (it's the best for our bodies and in case another student would accidently take a sip it won't cause harm), sunscreen should be applied before drop off (there is not a lot of shade and not a lot of time for us to get the kiddos all lathered up), and bug spray should be applied before drop off (this is mostly needed when we start going to the forest on Tuesdays, starting on Sept 12th). Thanks :)

Happy First Day of School 24-25!

Welcome Pine Families to our 24-25 school year! We were so happy to have your kiddos with us today. Check out the fun we had :)

Day 2 Pine room fun!

Today we spent more time getting to know each other and exploring our spaces. For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.
