Taking Turns

After a long weekend, the Pine kids were anxious to get back to playing with one another in different spaces in the building. This morning, a few of the kids found a way to set up a ball track using the large blue blocks in the collaboratory. L & B were quite intrigued by the way the heavy ball rolled along the hollowed out blocks. Since there was only one ball and two kids, the only thing to do was share!

After L pushed the ball down the ramp, she picked it up and handed the ball to B. His face lilt up with joy as he realized it was now his turn to push the ball on the track.

The two continued to take turns back and forth, laughing and cheering for when the ball made it around the track. Such a sweet start to our week!

Week 2 Day 2

Pine Family is rocking and rolling in week 2! We are having less feelings of sad, mad, and scared upon entering class and more happy and fun throughout the day!  Friendly reminders: Water bottles should only come to school filled with water (it's the best for our bodies and in case another student would accidently take a sip it won't cause harm), sunscreen should be applied before drop off (there is not a lot of shade and not a lot of time for us to get the kiddos all lathered up), and bug spray should be applied before drop off (this is mostly needed when we start going to the forest on Tuesdays, starting on Sept 12th). Thanks :)

Happy First Day of School 24-25!

Welcome Pine Families to our 24-25 school year! We were so happy to have your kiddos with us today. Check out the fun we had :)

Day 2 Pine room fun!

Today we spent more time getting to know each other and exploring our spaces. For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.
