Colors in the Water

This morning the Pine kids were challenged to participate in a mindfulness activity with food coloring and water. Each child took turns placing just one drop of food coloring into the water. It was difficult, but with a little bit of working together the kids were successful in dropping and watching. The video is a compilation of different kids taking turns with the colors and watching it float through the water.

Each child's reaction is filled with joy as the colors spread throughout the water. They stayed engaged and focused on the colors moving slowly and finally filling the whole vase with green, red, blue, or green. It was a great relaxing activity on this gloomy Monday.

Week 2 Day 2

Pine Family is rocking and rolling in week 2! We are having less feelings of sad, mad, and scared upon entering class and more happy and fun throughout the day!  Friendly reminders: Water bottles should only come to school filled with water (it's the best for our bodies and in case another student would accidently take a sip it won't cause harm), sunscreen should be applied before drop off (there is not a lot of shade and not a lot of time for us to get the kiddos all lathered up), and bug spray should be applied before drop off (this is mostly needed when we start going to the forest on Tuesdays, starting on Sept 12th). Thanks :)

It was a Ms Amy day!

Ms Amy Wednesday

Ms Amy always has fun practicing speech and language! Our friends had lots of opportunities for different kinds of movement.
