Capers in the Collaboratory

The Pine friends joined their friends in Dogwood in the collboratory to start capers.

C began building a tower. He noticed that a lot of the blocks had large holes in the center of them. C looked around and found cylinders that fit perfectly in the holes! Smart thinking to reinforce the tower!

C then ran into another problem... the tower was getting too tall for him to keep putting blocks on top.

"Can you put these on top for me?"

So it began. C and F began handing me block after block to put on top to make a taller. It became so tall nobody could reach the top to put more blocks on top.

Everyone giggled as the block teetered back and forth for a few seconds before finally toppling over. This didn't discourage any of the kids! They immediately began building a tower once again.

C and F worked together to continue to build another tall tower. They were able to problem solve not being able to reach the top & even worked with one another to place blocks at the very top.

Always a good time in the collaboratory.

Week 2 Day 2

Pine Family is rocking and rolling in week 2! We are having less feelings of sad, mad, and scared upon entering class and more happy and fun throughout the day!  Friendly reminders: Water bottles should only come to school filled with water (it's the best for our bodies and in case another student would accidently take a sip it won't cause harm), sunscreen should be applied before drop off (there is not a lot of shade and not a lot of time for us to get the kiddos all lathered up), and bug spray should be applied before drop off (this is mostly needed when we start going to the forest on Tuesdays, starting on Sept 12th). Thanks :)

Happy First Day of School 24-25!

Welcome Pine Families to our 24-25 school year! We were so happy to have your kiddos with us today. Check out the fun we had :)

Day 2 Pine room fun!

Today we spent more time getting to know each other and exploring our spaces. For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.
