Collaborating

Friends from Dogwood joined us in capering out on the hillside today. Many of the Pine friends were excited to share the project we've been working on!

B worked very hard trying to figure out how to squeeze the water bottle to make the colored water come out. After many tries B was successful! B also liked touching the wet t-shirt and watching the colors run into one another. He would giggle as he squirted the bottle and look for approval with a big smile.

V & J worked together to try and cover as much of the t-shirt with all of the colors.

"It's making so many colors! We are making a rainbow shirt."

Some friends tried using the spray bottles from both very close and far away.

"It doesn't really work like this."

"I can't really see the colors from back here. They aren't really working."

L liked getting really close to the t-shirt with the tip of the squirt bottle. She would squeeze the bottle with force and creating really dark spots of purple across the shirt.

"It's blue!"

At the end of the day the shirts were covered in all different colors. Each child took pride in the shirts "they made."

Week 2 Day 2

Pine Family is rocking and rolling in week 2! We are having less feelings of sad, mad, and scared upon entering class and more happy and fun throughout the day!  Friendly reminders: Water bottles should only come to school filled with water (it's the best for our bodies and in case another student would accidently take a sip it won't cause harm), sunscreen should be applied before drop off (there is not a lot of shade and not a lot of time for us to get the kiddos all lathered up), and bug spray should be applied before drop off (this is mostly needed when we start going to the forest on Tuesdays, starting on Sept 12th). Thanks :)

It was a Ms Amy day!

Ms Amy Wednesday

Ms Amy always has fun practicing speech and language! Our friends had lots of opportunities for different kinds of movement.
