Panda Observations

The Pine kids are becoming more interested in some of the animals we have been watching on live feed cameras (panda live feed). Today we looked a little closer at a panda by observing him eat bamboo and sleep on some rocks. Some of the kids decided to build their own home for a panda and talk about what pandas can do. We also started our Magic Words this week with Ms. Kari. We will start focusing on two core words a week to incorporate into our studies and play. This week's words are stop and go!

"They stretch like this."

"It's a square!"

"It's a cave for the panda"

"He lives in the cave, but he can also climb trees."

Magic Words of the week!

"I need black and white to make the panda, but I don't know how to make one."

"You can make circles like this for the panda!"

"I need to get all of this wood out!"

Week 2 Day 2

Pine Family is rocking and rolling in week 2! We are having less feelings of sad, mad, and scared upon entering class and more happy and fun throughout the day!  Friendly reminders: Water bottles should only come to school filled with water (it's the best for our bodies and in case another student would accidently take a sip it won't cause harm), sunscreen should be applied before drop off (there is not a lot of shade and not a lot of time for us to get the kiddos all lathered up), and bug spray should be applied before drop off (this is mostly needed when we start going to the forest on Tuesdays, starting on Sept 12th). Thanks :)

It was a Ms Amy day!

Ms Amy Wednesday

Ms Amy always has fun practicing speech and language! Our friends had lots of opportunities for different kinds of movement.
