Construction on the Block

Today the Pine friends took a short walk down the street to check out some construction. A lot of our friends were able to identify the different kinds of trucks, but were especially interested in watching the excavator. We talked about how it can stop and go when using the scoop. They also noticed other happenings. We ended our day by climbing around and then even trying out our own construction.

"Eye spy with my little eye, something blue!"

"Is it my shirt?"

"A excavator!"

"It's digging!"

"I think they are building a road for the cars to drive on."

"I see crystals!"

"I see the ants."

"Let's build this together. It's pretty hard."
"We are making a fan!"

Week 2 Day 2

Pine Family is rocking and rolling in week 2! We are having less feelings of sad, mad, and scared upon entering class and more happy and fun throughout the day!  Friendly reminders: Water bottles should only come to school filled with water (it's the best for our bodies and in case another student would accidently take a sip it won't cause harm), sunscreen should be applied before drop off (there is not a lot of shade and not a lot of time for us to get the kiddos all lathered up), and bug spray should be applied before drop off (this is mostly needed when we start going to the forest on Tuesdays, starting on Sept 12th). Thanks :)

It was a Ms Amy day!

Ms Amy Wednesday

Ms Amy always has fun practicing speech and language! Our friends had lots of opportunities for different kinds of movement.
