One more day

 Tomorrow is PJ day!

Happy Tuesday

Only 2 more days left after today! Our school wide special event got us all to dress arm and comfy in our favorite cozy sweater and played the movie The Snowman for us.  Tomorrow the school spirit day is to wear AFC clothes but we invite you to help us celebrate our friend J who is birthday over winter break! In honor of J please wear his favorite color Blue or PJ Masks and we will make him feel extra special by picking some of his favorite songs and activities to enjoy.  Thursday is PJ day and a performance by the Bristol Bravos!

2024 is slipping away

We have 4 days this week and so much fun to cram in!  Join us in celebrating this week with the school wide special days that were posted on Brightweel. Today was hat day, Tuesday is cozy sweater day, Wednesday is AFC spirit day but we think wear your favorite color might be easier, and Thursday is PJ day.  We have some fun activities planned that I hope all will enjoy. Today we started work on a top secret project, Tuesday the school is showing a special winter movie called the Snowman, Wednesday we will finish up our project and join in on a special Winter read aloud, and Thursday we will fill with hugs, laughs, and holiday spirit before we go on winter break. Our focus in class will still be on the words LOOK and SEE and invitations including water exploration, running a bakery shop, and outdoor life in the winter.

Only a week to go

Day 5 of our countdown is over and it leaves us with only 4 more days next week until winter break. Next week: Monday is hat day, Tuesday is Cozy Sweater Day, Wednesday will celebrate a friend’s birthday (more details to come), and Thursday is PJ day!

Day 6 of our countdown

Today Ms Amy came to play! We read Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? By Bill Martin, Jr. and were able to practice our word SEE. This book is great because of the repetition which allows friends to predict, understand, and enjoy the story. Ms. Amy always makes stories interactive and today friends were able to find the colored animals to help tell the story. So many skills are covered in a simple activity: color identification, animal identification, sequencing, and core word practice. The style of the writing is very melodic and be sung which can lead to increased interest for some learners.

Counting down

Day 7 is in the books, 6 more to go…. Fun to be had indoors and out, practicing LOOK and SEE, exploring all our school has to offer.
